Krispy Kreme were to launch a brand new range of fruity doughnuts and chillers for a limited time only - hoping to appeal to a fresh new flavour of customer with the arrival of Myanmar's hot season. The doughnut range pulled together four big flavours, Strawberry, Blueberry, Kiwi and Orange, and five variety of chillers, each with their own unique taste and look.
We transformed our four hero doughnuts into four never-before-seen characters, full of fruity fun and personality. We used these characters to tell stories of summer based on friendship and the enjoyment of trips to beach, linking back to the insight of doughnut enjoyment being a shared experience in Myanmar and one often associated with 'treats' saved for friends and family when traveling outside of Yangon.
The storyboards took us to new places, allowing Synapse Original to be the first agency to create for Krispy Kreme an original series of work and KVs exclusively for Myanmar. Creatives we were proud to say could truly localize the brand.
